Whether you’re an educator, veteran, active-duty service member, doctor, nurse, or first responder in Southeast South Dakota looking for a home loan, the Heartland Heroes Program was built for you.
What you receive as a Heartland hero
Eligible heroes receive a $500 closing cost credit from Fairway Heartland, Branch 8350, plus a Heartland Heroes Welcome Voucher Book packed with over $12,000 in approximate savings from local Sioux Falls, Tea, and Brandon business partners, one of the most direct mortgage closing discounts available to teachers, medical professionals, and military members in South Dakota.

Fairway Heartland's Heartland Heroes program offers up to $1,125 in closing cost savings to eligible borrowers in Sioux Falls and Southeast South Dakota who are medical professionals, educators, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, or law enforcement officers. This includes a $500 lender credit from Fairway Heartland, up to $500 from select participating real estate agents, and up to $125 from participating title companies.

Total discount of up to $1,125 on closing costs per loan, made up of a $500 lender credit from Fairway Heartland Branch 8350, up to $500 from select participating real estate agents, and up to $125 from participating title companies. The real estate agent and title company credits are not guaranteed on every transaction and depend on whether the borrower's agent or title company participates in the program. The Fairway Heartland lender credit will be applied on the closing disclosure at closing. Loan must close and fund with Fairway Heartland Branch 8350. Special incentive offer subject to change without notice. This offer is not valid with any other incentives or discounts. The borrower is responsible for the down payment. No part of the credit can apply to or offset the down payment.
